About BOOST.CV

BOOST.CV is an initiative in Cabo Verde designed to support startups and digital businesses in the country and its diaspora through strategic, personalized mentorship. BOOST.CV supports the country’s ambition to become a regional hub for innovation by strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem with access to networks, capacity-building, and tailored guidance.

Launched under the umbrella of the Digital Cabo Verde Project, BOOST.CV directly contributes to the government's broader vision of driving digital transformation, economic inclusion, and job creation through technology. The project is funded by the World Bank and implemented by the Government of Cabo Verde, through the Ministry of Digital Economy, Pro-Empresa, and Cabo Verde Digital, with Djassi Africa serving as the implementation partner during project phase.

Digital Cabo Verde Digital Project

The Digital Cabo Verde Project (DCVP) is a national flagship initiative launched by the Government of Cabo Verde with $20 million (now $40 million) in funding from the World Bank. The project aims to transform Cabo Verde into a regional digital hub by strengthening digital infrastructure, promoting innovation, enhancing digital competitiveness, and building public sector digital capacities. The project envisions positioning Cabo Verde as a preferred destination for digital services, innovation, and entrepreneurship in Africa.

BOOST.CV HUB

BOOST.CV is a powerful hub that reflects CaboVerde’s mission to give startups a “boost” through hands-on mentorship and support. It comes to life through a digital platform (powered by PushFar, a leading global mentorship platform) to build lasting connections between founders and mentors. It features:

1:1 Mentorship Matching: Tailored connections between founders and experienced mentors based on business needs, sector alignment, and growth challenges.
Thematic Mentorship: Group mentorship with specialised experts in key areas of development shared by many Founders. It includes areas like business strategy, marketing, product development, funding, and intellectual property.
Founder to Founder interaction: The ability for Founders to discover other Founders and grow their support network.
BOOST.CV Academy: Masterclasses and group sessions led by subject-matter experts.
Diaspora, All-Islands & Gender Inclusion: Strong focus on inclusion, with targeted efforts to engage women founders, the Cape Verdean diaspora, and all Cape Verdean Islands.
